A release of approximately 55 gallons of motor oil occurred at a terminal in upstate New York, impacting both a trailer’s interior and the surrounding ground area.

Area Manager Dustin Thomas led the rapid response effort, alongside Technicians Seth Harrison, Daniel DeCoursey, and Michael Penny.

Upon arrival, the team conducted a full scene assessment and held a safety tailgate meeting to ensure a clear and hazard-free plan. They removed initial absorbents placed by terminal staff and applied fresh materials to fully treat the impacted areas.

The team worked efficiently to contain and clean a large oil pool at the nose of the trailer, carefully solidifying and removing the material for proper disposal.

The cleanup was completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental standards — a testament to strong teamwork, leadership, and commitment to safety.

Great work, to one of our newest field offices and teams!
