Let’s hear it for our Woodbridge, NJ crew who we’re featuring as our October Project Spotlight! They have been working overtime on a recent 4,000-gallon release of corn syrup! This spill impacted some major roadways in the area. However, First Call arrived on the scene to assess the situation quickly! Regional Manager, Chris Kemp, Area Manager, Lindsey Arrigo, and Assistant Area Manager, Conor Estler, lead the charge with the help of technicians Kyle Herzig, Dametre Tokley, Owen King, and Jose Avalos Cortez. The team started by using the blade on their mini-excavator to scrape the bulk of the corn-syrup off the roadway. They dug a trench along the curbline to hold the corn syrup and then began to power wash the roadway. After washing down the road, granular sorbents were applied. Our team, with the help of Project Manager, Ann Novakowski, now awaits approval for remediation as the final step of this job! Great teamwork and ingenuity, Woodbridge crew!
