OSHA has released their top 10 most cited violations for 2023. I am happy to report that First Call did not receive any OSHA violations in 2023. We also continue to drive to maintain our commitment to safety and compliance for our company. FCE is intentional with the service line that we offer and we never extend outside of that until our personnel are adequately trained.
Although the work that FCE is focused on does not represent all topics in the top 10, we do have several that are. The #2 most cited violation is Hazard Communication (1910.1200). We capture this with every new hire orientation, hazwoper and refresher. Our new hire orientation checklist reviews this and our employees also sign that they have reviewed it and completed it.
#5 is Powered Industrial Trucks (1910.178) or forklifts. #6 is Lockout/Tagout (1910.147) and #7 is Respiratory Protection (1910.134). We maintain a rigid training program that includes lectures, hands on practical’s, tests and written policies for at First Call. First Call is focused on risk reduction and maintains rigid reviews to remain compliant and safe.
