FCE arrived onsite and found an estimated 10-15-gallon paint release from a load shift that damaged numerous containers of paint impacting a large portion of the trailer. FCE’s crew donned level C PPE as the paint was flammable with a very strong odor. FCE tested the area with 4-gas meter and determined there was no risk for entry or cleanup. FCE suited in level C to make entry to trailer. 7 pallets were pulled out of trailer and cleaned as needed. Clay absorbent was utilized to collect the standing paint inside the trailer and then placed inside drums as waste. FCE re-palletized the undamaged freight and loaded it back onto the original trailer.
