Our crews in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and Woodbridge, New Jersey, earned this project spotlight!
They recently teamed up and mobilized to deliver a safe and effective cleanup following a truck transfer mishap. The incident resulted in approximately 2,200 pounds of dry cement powder covering a truck, trailer, and surrounding dirt. Recognizing the scope of the incident, the Wilkes-Barre team coordinated with the Woodbridge crew to ensure the job was handled efficiently.
Working together, the teams developed a cleanup plan, followed established safety procedures, and utilized equipment such as shovels, shop vacuums, and drum vacuums to recover the spilled material. Absorbent pads were also used to clean accessible surfaces on the truck and trailer. The crews collected approximately 2,100 pounds of material, including cement powder, impacted dirt, and absorbent pads.
From swift mobilization to final documentation, this project is a great example of our teams working together to deliver results when it matters most!
A special shoutout to the Wilkes-Barre and Woodbridge teams for their hard work, coordination, and dedication throughout this response. Great job, team!
