First Call Environmental (FCE) has been a trusted partner in servicing our client portfolio that includes transportation, manufacturing and convenience stores located in numerous states along the eastern seaboard and in the Midwest. FCE personnel work together with our site personnel and/or our projects managers to make sure the released product is remediated as quickly and safely as possible.

Highlands Environmental Solutions (HES) also provides project support for FCE by providing professional geologists and engineers to include “boots on the ground” oversight of excavation of impacted soil to include confirmation sampling and regulatory reporting.

Virtua experienced an incident that required immediate hazardous waste cleanup and decontamination. First Call Environmental responded quickly and professionally, providing clear communication, timely updates despite severe weather delays, and a highly efficient on-site response team. Within hours, two contaminated patient rooms were safely decontaminated, and all hazardous materials were secured for proper disposal. Thanks to their swift action, patient and staff safety was protected, and the rooms were returned to service without extended downtime.

When these things happen it is so stressful and trying to get vendor partners to the scene is a very important key to showing the state authorities and regulators that we are on top of the situation. On Tuesday morning I discovered I had a leak coming from my oil tank in my basement above ground. My first call was to Middlesex County Hazmat. They responded and tried to patch the drip. In doing so a bigger hole was made in the tank and the oil was coming out at a high volume.

I've known Chuck Reinwald and First Call Environmental for many years and I made the call for his assistance. Within 15 minutes of my call, he was at my house giving his experience and knowledge as to what to do. His crew showed up about 45 minutes later (with traffic) and they went to work. They all put on PPE and couldn't be more courteous in a stressful situation. Moving forward after assessment of the situation the oil was removed from the tank and the area cleaned up swiftly before they went on their way. This coming Tuesday they're scheduled to return to remove the tank and hopefully my headache will be over.

Thank you once again to Chuck Reinwald and his professional staff at First Call Environmental. I would highly recommend Chuck and Team First Call to anyone that has any oil tank issues.

On Tuesday April 9th, 2024, we had a water quality inspection at our Greensboro plant. Unfortunately, we had a few issues that needed to be corrected immediately. I called the First Call Environmental 800 number, and a representative named Patrick immediately got me in touch with Mike Way. Mike was attentive listening to me explain our problem. He got all my information and asked could he call me back after he contacted their Greensboro location. In a very short time Mike called me back and said that the was a technician and crew on the way to our plant. The technician arrived at our location assessed the situation and immediately went into action. They placed some bloom to contain our water runoff and produced a plan of further action. This being the first time I have worked with First Call I was very impressed with the entire crew’s professionalism and speedy response.
