This month our Project spotlight is on Our Cincinnati, OH crew made up of Regional Manager, Dale Robertson, Area Manager, Parker Kelbel, Assistant Area Manager Zach Grimme, and Technician William Hamm. After a leaking freight truck was called in, this crew was quick to respond! They arrived onsite, assessed the situation, devised a safety plan, donned proper PPE, and jumped into action locating the source of the spill – which turned out to be multiple 5-gallon pails! The crew used granular absorbents to stop the leak from continuing then followed the trailer to its terminal. Once they arrived, our Cincinnati crew began unloading the trailer via pallet jacks due to elevated LEL’s (lower explosive limits). They then wiped down all the freight and began applying granular absorbents to the rest of the impacted areas. The absorbents were worked in and drummed for disposal. Due to the size of the spill, our Louisville Area Manager, DJ Mayfield, and his team of technicians, Josh Blanford, and Gabe Collins, arrived on site to support. The crews continued to apply and work in the absorbents, then wiped down the trailer to ensure no product was left behind. Thanks to both crews for their hard work and exemplary teamwork!
