First Call’s commitment to 24/7 support was on full display when our Bristol Area Manager, Cody Heath, jumped into action for a 4 AM call involving a highly corrosive material with a pH of 13.
Cody and his crew wasted no time getting onsite, developing a safety plan, donning proper PPE, and getting to work! The team used a citric acid solution to neutralize the spill, showcasing the chemistry skills often required in these situations. Once the spill was neutralized, the real work began! Absorbents were laid out, and the team rinsed and scrubbed the impacted truck and asphalt until everything was safe and clean. They wrapped up by ensuring everything was properly stabilized for transport and disposal.
