FCE’s Appalachian Crew responded to a 500-gallon diesel spill from an overturned tanker onto pavement in Knoxville TN. Given the magnitude of this spill, over fifteen team members across Appalachia were on scene working their hardest for a span of two days. Some of those names included: Asheville’s Area Manager, Logan Farmer, and Bristol’s Area Manager Thunder Himes. We would like to also shout out the following Technicians for their hard work: Bill Hadam, George Fuller, Anderson Beaver, Matthew Rhymer, Braden Leonard, Jaylen Croft, Caleb Odom, and Blake Dillow.
The Crew worked diligently dispersing absorbents across the impacted area including a ditch. Because of FCE’s quick response no diesel ended up in any major waterways. In all, it took the use of a street sweeper, mini ex, and a forklift to get the beautiful results you see below. Way to go crew!
