After a response to a 50+ gallon release of adhesive, we’re highlighting our Columbia, SC office for July’s Project Spotlight! Area Manager, Justin Owens and his team of Jennifer Shealy and Seth Shealy arrived on scene and contacted First Call Environmental’ s Director of Emergency response to formulate a plan. They then got to work cleaning off the impacted tote and patching the hole on it to avoid any more adhesive being released. They then got their equipment grounded and bonded and began a gravity transfer into a new tote. Once properly transferred, the crew moved on to applying granular sorbents to the product on the floor and scraped it all up. They cleaned off two impacted pallets and confirmed everything was completely clean before leaving the site. Way to go Columbia, SC Crew!
